Volunteer in a “Costume Shop” to Help Others!

Who knew dressing up could be so helpful......

Interested in volunteering now with a group called the Assistance League of Los Altos.
One of the charities is a 42 unit apartment building next to Stanford hospital that the League owns and manages.  It is short term housing on a sliding scale for patients (and caregivers) getting some serious treatment at the hospital.  Another project is helping fund some programs for foster children.  It's a group called Families' First in Campbell.

The Assistance League ladies raise their money by running a costume rental store.  We are housed in a former fire station and have around 3000 high quality costumes we rent (plus some retail we sell.) It's a great place to volunteer in terms of people coming in ready to "play" and to have fun. They're short staffed if you know anyone looking for a volunteer opportunity.

To learn more and/or volunteer, contact Francie at francieg@pacbell.net.

If you contact Francie directly, Grace, she can help you figure out how to volunteer. 🙂

I would do that, it is a great way to help. When would this happen?
