Volunteer at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital

The Roth Auxiliary, one of seven community-based auxiliaries supporting Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, is recruiting high school juniors and seniors for volunteer positions in the volunteer-run Hospital Gift Shop. The Shop carries a variety of merchandise for Packard patients of all ages, and their families. All proceeds from the Shop are donated directly to the Hospital for uncompensated care.

Get involved with this meaningful volunteer opening during the 2012-2013 school year!

As a Roth Auxiliary student volunteer, you will:

  • Gain retail and customer service experience
  • Learn cashier and computer skills
  • Feel the satisfaction of helping Packard provide a valuable community service, for patients,

    families, visitors and staff

  • Work in a world-class children’s hospital setting
  • Generate community service hours


    • Must be at least 16 years old
    • Complete Packard’s volunteer placement process, including online training courses,

      background check, fingerprinting, and health clearances

    • Provide parent/guardian consent
    • Make at least a 6 month commitment to one shift, every other weekend:
    • Shift Times: Saturday and/or Sunday – llam-2pm or 2-5pm
    • Schedule: 2nd and 4th or 1st, 3rd and 5th weekend of the month
