Tina and Ana blog on China

Yesterday, we explored the hostel further and had a traditional Chinese breakfast and reviewed the itinerary while also learning about cultural norms such as how to greet someone. We also met our Fudan University buddies and participated in ice breaker games and tasks. We had stations such as going to a market and finding Chinese snacks and learning different Chinese phrased that would help us on the trip. After having some time to rest, we went to a mall near a subway to eat dinner, then took the subway to see the Bund. Many Chinese people liked taking photos with us and the Bund, a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The lights and architecture of the scene were incredibly beautiful and eye-catching. This picture of us is while we were meeting out Fudan buddies.

Thanks for the update, Tina and Ana! It sounds like you’re off to a great start. I can’t wait to hear about your next day of adventuring in Shanghai and the evening dinner you’re having with various women leaders from Shanghai and Beijing.
