Today the entire school will hear from Anton Foek.  Anton Foek has a long career as a freelance journalist covering topics around the globe. Since the 1970s he has developed a particular interest in covering stories that can raise public awareness and understanding of human rights issues. In recent years, he has written stories on topics such as mapping human rights violations worldwide and human rights and change, a project investigating the violations and trade. He has met with numerous world political and business leaders in Europe, Latin America and Asia and at the U.N. in New York, as well as with several Nobel Laureates like Bishop Tutu and Peres Esquivel or Oscar Arias, Jan Tinbergen and José Ramos Horta. His work regularly appears in Corpwatch, The American Humanist Magazine, The Washington Times and several Dutch Magazines.

The rest of the day will be spent in our grade level workshops.
