Strike Out Cancer

On Tuesday February 28th, the varsity softball team will dedicate its first home game against Monte Vista High School to raising awareness and funds to fight cancer.   We are joining the efforts of the American Cancer Society to help increase cancer education and promote healthy living as well as honor all those in our community whose lives have been touched by cancer.
You can all help in different ways:
At the beginning of our game, we would like to recognize any or all of you who have fought or are fighting cancer, who have a person in their family with cancer, or anybody who is a caregiver for a person fighting cancer.  Right before the game, we’ll invite you to come on the field so we may briefly honor you.
We will have several ways to raise money for the American Cancer Society at the game, varying from making a simple donation, to pledging an amount for every hit or strike out at the game, buying a bake sale item, or purchasing one of our very cool Strike Out Cancer Castilleja T-shirts (here is the order form).  All proceeds will go directly to the American Cancer Society. T-shirts will be hot pink with the Castilleja name and gator on front and Strike Out cancer in white on the back.  You can be the proud owner of one of these shirts for only $15 of which $5 will directly go to the American Cancer Society. Order forms for T-shirts will be available today at our scrimmage or on Thursday via email.
Save the date now:
February 28, 3:30 PM on Spieker Field
and join the varsity softball team in its efforts to Strike Out Cancer.
