Stanford Economist offers Two Casti Internships

Professor Nick Bloom is an economist at Stanford whose area of research is in economic policy uncertainty.  His work can be better understood by clicking here.  He needs two Castilleja students to work for six weeks over the summer in conjunction with two Pali students. The dates are moderately flexible dependent upon participant schedules. These would be for full days of work, and he would pay $13 an hour.  The work includes learning a lot about his recent research trying to explain the relationship between stock market volatility and the media’s depiction of government policy.   You will spend a fair amount of time in the Stanford library looking at microfilm, particularly shots of old newspaper headlines.  If you are interested in learning more, please contact Ms. Kertsman in the ACE Center.
