Light the Night High School Challenge


The Light the Night Walk is an annual event to raise money to for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and its efforts to support blood cancer research, provide educational materials and events for patients and families, support local progams, and provide assistance through their Information Resource Center.

This year, the Light the Night Walk this year will include a High School Challenge.  Teams from Palo Alto High School, Cupertino High School and Sacred Heart are a few of the schools that will be participating and their is a meeting for high school students to attend the Leadership Committee meeting on March 17th from 2 until 3:30.

Silicon Valley High School Challenge Cup

The Silicon Valley High School Challenge Cup is a friendly, fundraising competition between local high schools to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night campaign.  Participating high schools form teams to compete with other Silicon Valley high schools in a variety of community service, fundraising and marketing activities culminating in the evening Light the Night walks.

The 2012 walk will be held in Palo Alto at Palo Alto High School on September 22nd . This annual fundraising event supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma’s Society’s lifesaving cancer research. It is an inspiring evening to celebrate, remember, and bring hope to those people battling cancer.

High School Challenge Details  

  • Form teams, establish goals, and create marketingplans.
  • Join fellow Challenge Cup Teams at the official Kick-Off event in June and kick your team into high gear
  • Celebrate your efforts and witness the trophy presentation to the winning team at the Light The Night Walk in Palo Alto
