Law Internship

Organization: United States District Court For the Northern District of California

Location: San Jose, Federal Courthouse

Position Summary:

For current high school juniors or seniors, or college age alumnae: A unique opportunity to work in United States District Court Judge Edward J. Davila’s chambers assisting the law clerks who support the civil and criminal calendars.  Interns will work in chambers and will observe the court proceedings of the cases on which they are working.

For alumnae who are currently in law school:  Work as a summer extern in Judge Davila’s chambers assisting in case preparation, conducting research on various legal issues, and preparing memoranda to assist the Judge and law clerks.

The internship is unpaid and will be part-time during the school year (one afternoon a week) and full or part time during the summer.
