KnockOUT Hunger Success!

Last Thursday during advisory lunch, the whole upper school enjoyed combining a basketball competition with a battle against local hunger.

With an entrance fee of four cans per person, representatives from all advisories joined in to play knockout.  In total, the school ended up filling one full bin of canned food to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank.

About 30 blue pleated skirts were lined up on the courts, shooting basketballs for the knockout tournament.  The rest of the school sat in the bleachers, cheering on their classmates and teachers.

It was wonderful to see the school coming together both to celebrate friendly competition with  high spirits and to support their local community by participating in the food drive.

Please remember that the food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank is still going on until November 1st of this week.  Keep bringing in canned food!
