France Day 7

Today, after an early morning, we had the opportunity to visit the U.S. Embassy in Paris  and speak with Jennifer, the cultural attaché. We learned so much about foreign service and were inspired by her valuable experiences and advice. We then ate a delicious lunch of sandwiches and quiche from a local boulangerie, and journeyed to the banlieu of Clichy Sous Bois. There we met with a wonderful group of women, mainly from immigrant backgrounds, and cooked crepes and Tarte Normande Aux Pommes. We loved their positive energy and personal stories! After getting back to the apartment, we learned how to make a traditional French dinner from chef Nari, a former dancer and now professional chef!
