7th Grade Petting Zoo at Brentwood Academy in East Palo Alto

Last week the Class of 2021 visited their Brentwood Kindergarten buddies for a very special afternoon filled with laughter, sunshine, and 50 farm animals.  With the coordination of Little Explorers Mobile Petting Zoo, we were able to bring these animals directly to the school.  Each of our students and their buddies got to spend time outdoors with these wonderful cuddly creatures, including alpaca, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, and rabbits. The kindergarteners were also joined by the school principal, someone from the Ravenswood district office, science teachers, and parents, making the event memorable for everyone.  Inside the classroom the 7th graders read animal and farm stories aloud to their buddies and everyone made a farm animal craft as well.  We are excited to see all of Kindergarten buddies again in April, and then for our final visit of the year at Castilleja School when they will visit our campus for a field day with our 7th graders.
